Its a pretty good hard drive. And why are you getting DDR 500 memory? Your board only supports up to DDR400.

 Sorry but I don't get what you are saying?
The memory that you said you wanted is DDR500, your motherboard only supports up to DDR400. Your just wasting money by getting the higher speed one.

so the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard can't handle the XFX PV-T71G-UDE7 GeForce 7900 GT EXTREME (520MHz) 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail?

And I now that this is off topic, but how many post do I need to make to get all those color boxes under my name filled? Just the 4 more that I have.

Striker, why dont you just go read all the guides to building a computer and the what to do and the what not to do's. You were gunna buy a DDR500 and your mobo only supported DDR400. You better thank Omega otherwise you would have wasted some money.

Well, he could be looking to overclock... but If you dont understand what DDR500 is then your probably not going to be overclocking. Read RAM 101. Theres no better way to explain it.

so what kind of mothr board can I get that will handle it?
No AMD boards support over DDR400. RAM over DDR400 only shines through when you OC. Its all in RAM 101...

Well, there are some exceptions... certain boards when paired with rev E3 and up cores may have settings for up to DDR500 in the BIOS.

If you did buy DDR500, it will be downclocked to DDR400, so there wont be any performance increase at stock. It may also have higher latencies.

The only realy reason to buy DDR500 is if you wanted to OC it to ~DDR500 speeds, you can still OC high with DDR400, but it can only be ran at ~DDR400 speeds.
