well to tell you the truth laptops arn't the best for gaming but you could hit some okay benchmarks on that, but i would personally go for a desktop pc instead of a laptop for your type of ysage anyway.
 
The X1400 will suck for any kind of high-resolution intense gaming, but it would be a good laptop otherwise.
 
Only problem I see there is pretty much the videocard.

Sims 2 should run fine on there though.
