Saying the exact CPU would be more helpfull, but its prabally is good. Rememebr clock speed isn't everything. I'm asuume its an Intel correct?Jon Boy said:I just got a new computer. It is 3.8ghz, got 500gb hard drive, 1024mb of ram and an ATi X700 256mb video card. Will this play the top games on high res, is that video card any good.

Big games? No game requires over 384MB of RAM.Smurf-you said:Well instead of getting a 3.8 i would get more ram for BIG GAMES,
Since when do you need over 1GB of RAM (not counting SDRAM) to run a game good?tweaker said:to run no,
to run good yes.

Well its either the 570 or 670 both of which are pretty close specwise to each other.Saying the exact CPU would be more helpfull, but its prabally is good. Rememebr clock speed isn't everything. I'm asuume its an Intel correct?
Well there was that N2(l) cooled FX55 ....No AMD hits the 3.8Ghz mark, not that speed (like you said) has anything to do with performance.
www.xe.comAnd whats that in pounds sterling
Except with 1.25GB it'll prolly run less smoothly because you'll [potentially] lose half your memory bandwidthFar Cry runs better with the more ram you have, i had 512mb, laggy as hell, has 1gb, ran smoothe, have 1.25gb, runs slightly better.
