How good is Windows 10 on old PC?

I've got a old acer PC in the living room for watch video online.
I think it is 1st gen i3, 4GB RAM with HD5670.

i currently running with ubuntu as Windows 7 takes a while to load.
my questions is how good is Windows 10 compare to ubuntu on loading time?
i do have my old Windows 7 OEM COA with it. i wonder if it worth me spending couple hours to get Windows 10 on it.

I can run it just fine on a mobile Core2Duo, 4GB RAM and integrated graphics (Dell Latitude E6410).
Starting with Windows 8, they introduced "Fast Boot" which significantly increases startup times by not shutting down the PC completely, but still turning it off.
Windows 10 of course has this, so it should be faster. I haven't come across a device that could run 7, but not 10 yet. And I've installed 10 on at least 50 different PCs so far, some far older than i3-era.

I load Windows 10 on a friends old ass T4200 intel cpu laptop with bare bones specs from 7-8 years ago, and it boots pretty quick.

Essentially you can run it well on complete junk, (by todays standards)

Your "slow" Windows 7 bootup time could be because you're not using an SSD as the boot drive.
However, Windows 10 does boot very quickly even without a SSD.

I did play around with Win 10 on my other pc with ssd before. But I actually dont know if it is ssd or Win 10 for the boot time.

I do perfer Ubuntu personally, but other family member ask if it can be MS windows
