How hard would it be to change my processor on my laptop?

I currenlty have a Hp Pavillion dv5130us. It has a AMD64 mobile technology processor in it. I flirted with the idea of upgrading the ram from one gigs to 2 but decided that for the price of doing it, it would not be worth it. I really want to upgrade my processor though since it would be about the same price. How hard would it be, if its even possible, to upgrade to say a intel core 2 duo processor? I have heard that changing processors on hp laptops can be just as easy as swapping ram. Is this true? and insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Then you would have to look for an AMD processor, intel processors will not fit in the socket.

Most laptop CPUs are not socketed but soldered in place with BGA connections. Chances are excellent that you'd ruin the mobo trying to unsolder every connection. Forget it.
