How high can I safely go.

I'm starting to hit the wall, and am greatly increasing the core voltage; seems this 3800 isnt oc-ing as nice as others ive heard of.

Load is 42C, and i've ordered a PCI slot cooler to tape to the MOSFET heatsinks (PWM hits 62C at load), so temps shouln't be a problem. Just wondering if it's safe to go all the way to THE highest voltage available (2.108V).

For your processor? Hell no. It'll fry. The highest you want to go on air is 1.6 V, and even then I don't feel comfortable 24/7 at that voltage.
 
It'll fry? If it's gonna fry, surely the method you use to cool it won't change what voltage it dies at.

Its true that you can still kill a processor under liquid nitrogen, but it does effect it somewhat.

Regardless, dont run it at 2.108V. Ever. No matter what cooling system you've got.
 
temp max is like 64C id say.
as for voltage, the lower the better. i wouldn't go above 1.65V but avoid any voltage if you can. i can get mine to 2.6ghz on 1.55V so i just leave it there... normally i have it clocked at 2.4ghz default voltage just because its plenty for pretty much any game, and if its not then the game normally supports dual core so its good to go.
 
Ignore temperature for this question, as I get decent temps. As said in previous post, 42C load under current settings in siggy. I'm just talking about voltage here.

EDIT: Just did dual Prime, and full load temp is 43/44C for CPU

yea ignore temperature, because since his runs cool that means yours will too. haha no seriously, watch temps even if you take the IHS off... just because you took the ihs off doesnt mean there aren't any contaminations in there so just make sure you watch temps no matter what. i'd say don't let the temp go above 50C and a reading around 60C is dangerous for the proc.
