how i can see the temperature for my video card

YES...however, as far as I know, the temperature sensor is quite recent and older Nvidia cards do not have them. Therefore as a result you may not be able to see it. You could also use Rivatuner to give you more statistics including the temperature. Good luck.

in the properties of you video card, is a tab temperatures ;)
in everest you see that temperature too :)

i have the latest driver (forceware 78.01) and i use coolbit, but i don't see temperature tab in the properties of my video card

here is a screen shot for my video car properties
i don't have tab temperatures

As already suggested it is very possible that your video card does not have a temperature sensor.

Just download everest.

Although I dont know what everest is. No software will help him if he does not have a Sensor on his gpu. He will want to buy somthing that hooks up to his gpu (sensor) with a readout for temperature.

if i overclock my core clock freq from 300mhz to 350mhz, and the memory clock from 500mhz to 603mhz, does this damage my video card or make it overheated ??

it could, you can tell when video cards start to overheat because your picture will get artifacts. A 6600 should have a sensor but for whatever reason yours doesn't but a 6600 shouldn't get hot enough that you need to worry about it.

It may. The idea to overclocking is to adjust it a few mhz at a time until you find it to be unstable. then back it off a few mhz.

or you can use a program that is designed for overclocking video cards. I used atitools and i left it on for about 15 minutes and it detected a maximum mem speed of 630 and a core speed of 580. However in your case it could be risky cause you have no way of telling if your card is heating up until it heats up to a degree in which the card gets unstable.

ATI Catalyst Control Center has a feature (smartgear or something like that), that resets the video driver if it stops responding, aka a bad o'c, and usually you dont need to reboot windows.

and 500-600Mhz memory is a big jump.

i use coolbit for overclocking
it detects the maximum speed for my video card which is 600mhz for mem speed and and 350mhz core speed.

which is more important to overclock memory speed or core speed, which will give more FRAME RATE PER SEC :P

well.. the GPU is the most important one. but for the best results you have to OC them both a bit

and its a Higher Framerate, or More Frames per sec ;)
