Oh whoops since it's already in his sig I thought he had already purchased it. :p

Yeah I would agree with Geoff about the SSD. Look at the Samsung ones, they're good. I wouldn't necessarily agree about the 4770K though - look at the i5 4670K instead. The AMD is fine but I personally prefer Intel, and the i5 is a little bit quicker: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/698?vs=837 look at that, and note that lower is better on a lot of those benchmarks, since they are recording time.

Of course you'll need a different motherboard if you go Intel. If you like Gigabyte get the Z87X-UD4H or similar (I think there are some cheaper similar Gigabyte Z87 boards too).

I would get a Corsair CX600M PSU to save money, then maybe put it towards your graphics card. The 760 is good but no 'monster gaming build' is going to have a mid-range card in it. Maybe look at the GTX 770 instead, or the Radeon R9 280. You could always get 8GB of RAM instead of 16 to help fund a better GPU, which is going to make more difference to performance.

The i5 is a great CPU for the money, but because he said he wanted a monster build I recommended the 4770K :)

I also agree about the PSU. 850W is really overkill.

Thanks guys for your input. The CPU and the MOBO was already bought so I couldn't do a return on that but I did upgrade my HDD to SDD and also my GPU to GTX 780 SC which is making every game i throw at it nearly flawless..
