core i7- Core 2 Quad
core i9- Core 2 Extreme

Core 2 is eol.....unless your attempting an analogy there. Core i3 will be low end, Core i5 will be midrange, core i7/i9 will be the high end.

More or less, that and the fact amd has essentially same performance for cheaper, or i7 that costs more but performs better.
