How many watt power supply do I need?

I have been having issues with my computer randomly turning off then immediately powering back on. I have tried a number of things including disconnecting my power switch and using a screwdriver to power on, correcting registry issues, and reformatting. At this point I think it is the power supply but still not sure. I'm not sure what kind of power supply I need because when I built my computer I bought a 1000w Rosewill Bronze which might have been more than I needed. Wanting to buy a cheap power supply to see if that is the issue but not sure how many watts. My system is:

MSI motherboard P67A-G43 with LGA 1155 i5 SandyBridge 3.3GHz 95W
WesternDigital Velociraptor 150GB 10000RPM
WesternDigital Caviar Black 1.5TB 7200RPM
4GB memory-unsure of brand but it is DDR3 1600
Vid Card is Sapphire Radeon 1GB 64bit DDR3 PCIE 2.1
LG BluRay burner

Thanks for the help.

64-bit makes me guess like a 6450 or some other uber low end one, no clue why you got 1000w at all

just grab a corsair cx500, about 45-55 bucks IIRC and reliable.

Although your mobo would have to tell it to turn back on, so make sure it is set to stay off after a power failure then see if it still happens, if it does then it is a mobo issue.

No harm will come to your system by connecting up a PSU that is extremely over-rated for your system.

You will only have problems if said PSU cannot meet the power needs of your system.

How much did this 1000w PSU cost, and how old is it?

Unless you have a faulty unit it seems bizarre that this would be a PSU issue, especially as it looks like your system doesn't draw very many watts at all...

Also, by turning your system on with a screwdriver the only thing you are taking out of the equation is the power switch on your computer case, which very rarely malfunction. This is totally separate from your PSU.
