How much cooling do I need?

I'm going to build my computer with:

MSI K8N Neo 4
1 GB of CORSAIR XMS TWINX1024-3200C2PT
Antec TRUE430 ATX 430W PS
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice Integrated into Chip FSB Socket 939 Processor
eVGA 256-A8-N344-AX Geforce 6800GT 256MB

I'm not sure what kind of case to get, and if I get a case how many fans would I need and would I need a heatsink?

Thanks

heatsink for your cpu, yes. 3 fans.

And quality thermal paste for the processor die-to-heatsink contact. A thin, minimal amount, rubbed in, and close, tight, balanced contact is needed.

And HEY! CPU cooler fan on top of heatsink and processor. Make sure every power wire connector is plugged in for each device.

Well....

I would choose 3+ fans minimum (80mm). If you are considering large 120mm fans, having 3 would not hurt either ;). As to the heatsink, it depends on how much cash you have available. What I really like is the Arctic Freezer 64. However, there are tons of better HSFs there. Suggest some that you like and we will help you out in choosing the right one. With the Venice, the stock should do fine. I use the stock HSF and it's very cool indeed.

80 or 120mm depends of course on the case design you intend to use. If quiet operation is important then 120mm fans with lower rpm yet similar cfm throughput is reccomended.

Theres also a 92mm option, but decide a case first, then let us know. :)

My favourite!

My favourite would be the Antec. It looks very nice and the quality is most certainly higher than that of the others. However, you could get a cheaper one and spend more on a good PSU.

How are the fans on the Lian?

???it's a Cooler Master, is that what you meant?

i'm not sure how loud they are, i don't own one. i've only seen one and i fell in love with it, will definetly be my next case.

all of the CoolerMaster 80*80mm case fans are 25-26dBA, and in the picture it loks like the CoolerMaster standard case fans (http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product_list&p_class=430) so i would bet it's those. Not too loud on paper.

Whoops hehe. Yeah I meant the cooler master. There's a Lian case that looks almost identical. I'm now having second thoughts on my PSU. Some people are saying that it does not have enough power and also, I decided to switch the eVGA to a PCI-E version and I read somewhere that the particular Antec PSU does not support PCI-E. Is this true? And if, could someone please reccomend a similiar priced PSU?
