I totaled out at $1500 for desktop wich Ive been building and changing for the last 12 years
My netbook toped out at a measly $350 plus the upgrades (memory and external DVD)
I love my machine

When I built mine it cost me about $600. With all of my upgrades I have put into it I might be over $1200.
