How much do you reckon i should charge for building a computer, usually i charge £60 but i think its an undercharge?? :D;)
 
dang?... i charge 50 flat no mattter what i build fort them, and 30 for O/C everything and of course i check stablity
 
Depends what kinda build... for higher end parts ~$75 usd or so, ~$25 for budget build, Middle of the road varies, usually around ~$50.. Really depends on the price of the components to begin with though.

You're right.

It's much harder to put a heatsink on an i7 than a E7400...

No, mainly because the people save more money having one built with higher end specs than something lower end... So when they were planning on spending say, $2000 and the parts for a built rig similar to that are $1000, they are willing to pay more for me to build it for them;) Notice how a top end rig from say, ibuypower is at least 2x the cost of one built, higher end stuff has more of a premium.
