How much does this cost to fix?

I recently dropped my computer and everything was still working fine except for the charging part. i took the computer to a friend with experience and when he opened it up the rod that the ac adapter is supposed to plug into was completly broken off. how much does this cost to fix. i think he mentioned something about saundering it back on and even then it might not still work. company name is averatec. any feedback would be apreciated. thank you

depends on the laptop brand, some are harder to take apart. i did an hp for a lady and charged her $100.

i've seen this repair advertised on craigslist for $50, so shop around.
