How Much for all of this

Well, the sad reality, is that I'm starting to gain intrest in macs. While I have a PowerPC G4, and am borrowing an iMac G5, now that you can run Windows on Mac for your few needs, I'd like to switch to mac for the basics, and even to use iLife and possibly the Pro tools (Final Cut Studio Pro>Avid Xpress Pro HD). So, here's what I have, what kind of money do you think I could get for all of this on eBay?
Pentium 4 2.8 GHz: $100
Motherboard; $40
1GB PC 2700: $80
160 GB HDD: $120
60 GB HDD: $60
PSU: $50
Vid card: $60
Case $40
Optical Drives: $100
Card reader: $20
Monitor: $120
Speakers $10
KB/Mouse/Joystick/Mic: $70
Hardware Subtotal: $870
Software:
Windows Xp Home: $199
Acronis 10: $50
3D Studio Max 8: $3500
Avid Xpress Pro (Bring your own dongle): $2500
Diskeeper Pro Premier 10: $100
Goldwave: $30
Multiquence: $30
Divx create: $20
Limewire Pro: $40
Macromedia Studio 8: $1000
Microsoft Office Pro w/Infopath: $579
Microsoft Visual Studio Pro 2005: $2500
Musicmatch pro, with all versions upgrade key: $60
Roxio Easy Media Creator 8: $100
Sony Vegas: $450
Sony CD Architect: $110
Sony DVD Architect: $110
Sony Sound Forge 8: $300
Sony Screenblast 3.0: Cant find the price, so not included in total.
Spyware doctor, half subscription: $20
VMware Workstation 5.5: $100
WinRAR: $40
Adobe CS2: $900
Adobe After Effects Pro 7.0: $1000
Adobe Audition 2.0: $350
Adobe Premier Pro: $850
Sub total: $14,939
Total: $15,809

That's what I have, thanks for all the help!

Definetly overpriced... I just purchased new 160G drives for about $70 shipped. And the software isn't going to sell. First off, I don't even want to know how you got a legit version of Premiere Pro. Second, all these have been installed and activated, registered, correct?

Ok, well, hardware, I can tamper those prices, that really makes a maximum of $200 difference anyway. Xp, at it's legitimate market price, retails for $199 suggested by Microsoft as a full version install. Since that's what I bought, that's how much I am concidering it to be worth.
First off, I don't even want to know how you got a legit version of Premiere Pro.
Simple, a friend of the family sells software, so I get almost anything I want at cost, which was still pretty expensive. And as for second, yes, all are installed, registered and leigitmately activated. But if you read the EULA on every piece of software, you will read "This license is fully transferrable", so there is nothing wrong with doing that. Most of these applications have a way to physically de-activate the machine as well. Even if I sell these software at 20% of market value, which is all I need to get what I want, something tells me someone is going to pick up on them...

Possibly the hardware is, but the software is not.
I'm sorry to break it to you, but they are. Here's a comparison of what you're charging, and what Newegg and others charge:

Red (You), Blue (Newegg)

Windows Xp Home: $199 $88

Macromedia Studio 8: $1000 $852

Microsoft Office Pro w/Infopath: $579 $199 (Office 2003 Small Business)

Roxio Easy Media Creator 8: $100 $60

WinRAR: $40 (Free from download.com)

Adobe CS2: $900 $849

Need I say more?

I doubt if you're going to get much money for the software because if it's been opened, then people aren't going to really pay as much. Plus, if any of those are registered, obviously it's illegal. Although you might get a few people that will get caught up in the bidding wars and go over, but probably not on this type of stuff...

You have me on that one

Macromedia Studio 8: $1000 $852
That's from newegg, that's not the suggested retail value.

Microsoft Office Pro w/Infopath: $579 $199 (Office 2003 Small Business)
Wrong, completely wrong. Small business is missing the following from my edition: Access, I also have Info path, One note, and Frontpage, all of which aren't in small business.

Roxio Easy Media Creator 8: $100 $60

Again, not the retail value from Roxio's site, nor what I paid.

WinRAR: $40 (Free from download.com)
WRONG, free trial download, it's a 40 day trial. Winrar, from Alexander Roshal, rarlabs.com has never been free.

Adobe CS2: $900 $849
Meh, a meer $50 difference, and that's not according to Adobe retail's price.

I doubt if you're going to get much money for the software because if it's been opened, then people aren't going to really pay as much.
This I understand, but I'm only looking for roughly 20% of market value.

No, it's not, you are allowed to transfer your license and registration. It's in the EULAs.

Although you might get a few people that will get caught up in the bidding wars and go over, but probably not on this type of stuff...
Hell, I could sell just this with adobe premier and Avid and rake in $1,000, trust me, I know people just starting in the film industry who go crazy over that stuff.

Yes those are according to newegg's sites, but people arent going to pay what the MSRP is, there going to look around and see what other sites charge.

And I know that the MS Office wasn't right, but they didnt have the version you had, so I just showed a similar thing. And yes WinRAR is a 40-day trial, but there are other programs and previos version of WinRAR that are completly free.

Well yea, but, that's still the actual retail value of what they are, but I understand your logic. As for winrar, well, that was the full new version, and many free alternatives don't do what it does, hell, there's a free alternative to MS office and Photoshop, but they are still worth their value. Anyway, I'm really looking to just get maybe around $1500 for all of it, and this includes my monitor, speakers, webcam, microphone, joystick, keyboard, and mouse too. It's a whole package, so please let me know what you think, and thanks for all of your continued help so far, I really apriciate you all taking the time to reply.

Adobe after affects is 699, unless its pro, so....you'd be selling it for 130-200 dollars (if you really wnt only twenty percent)?

It is pro. So yes, 20% is all I need.

"Suggesed retail price "Is never what it is sold at even at most stores., and your software is used.

Macromedia is 1000$ off of there website, new. Abode you can get cheaper at frys after sales. XP home as said, you can get much cheaper(100$ without sale at micro center) and those are jsut the ones i know off the top of my head. You cant expect to sell USED software anywhere near the "retail value" because "retail value" is never what the REAL retail value really is :)

I don't want even close to the retail value. When I list the values of each however, I am going to list the retail value MSRP suggested by the manufacturer. I realize I won't get close to that value, I'm only looking for roughly 20%.

you can get 1GB DDR333 for 40$ brandnew...
This happens to be high quality Corsair with low latencies. Anyway, im not gonna make the move, I'm content where I'm at, thanks for all the help so far. Thread closed.
EDIT: Why can't I close my own thread?
