how much is a case worth

I've been think about cases a lot and I came to ask myself "how much is a case worth" is a cool master centurion 5 near as good as a lain li Pluss II Pc-65
In a 2000 dollar system how much would you spend on a case
 
the only thing i look at in a case is airflow. looks are optional, but the cheaper cases tend not to have as many ports and such. depending on your price range i wouldnt spend more than $100-$150 or so on a case. i have always liked cooler master cases, so with those options i would chose that.
 
I would be willing to spend 150.00-200.00 on a case, it is the one thing that you can continue to use for a very long time, why not get one that lasts? Also, in a 2000.00 system I would expect to spend 100.00-150.00 on a PSU for the same reason. Also why house and power your awesome equipment with a lousy case and psu? Doesn't make sense to me.
 
I really like mine, great airflow. I went to a local supplier for a hands on inspection before buying from newegg. Preator has a sticky! I like the $600 passive case he shows there really $600
