How much is my comp worth ?

Hey guys, just wondering if someone could give me a estimate on how much my current PC is worth in UK pounds if possible.

*AMD X2 64 Dual Core 4200+
*Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 Ultra SKT939 nForce4 Ultra PCI-E DDR400x4 8Channel audio GLAN ATX
*1gb DDR-RAM (512mb DDR PC3200 400MHz 184pin *2)
*250gb IDE Maxtor Hard Drive
*ATI Radeon X300/X550 Series (PCI-E)
*XION Solaris Silver (Blue LED) Steel Mid Tower Gaming Case
*Enermax FMA series EG565AX-VE(W) 535W PSU
*Nova-T WinTV DVB (Freeview) PCI
*12 USB 2.0 slots
*Pioneer 109 DVD-RW

This system cost me about £550 to put together about 3days ago so how much would it sell for ?

As its technically second hand around the 400 pound region.

If it cost him 550 to build, and its second hand, automatically loose a about 100 because of that and if you tried ebay, i would expect you would struggle to get 400.

Its only 3 days old though. It hardly counts as second hand, more "just made"
 
£500 would be a reasonable price if in excellent condition.
No monitor/keyboard/mouse?

But my dad always uses the example..
You buy a car from a showroom for £10,000.
The second you drive it out, it's worth £8,000.

Painfully true...

nope not selling it, just seen other computers similar specs in newspapers and on some net sites about £900 + so was just wondering if mine would sell for the same. Thanks guys :)

Well it's worth £550 (as thata how much you paid) but as for how much you an sell it for .... that depends on the people who might be buyig it ... pop a few lights in there and you'd be surprised how much stupid kids who go for the bling bling can get mom and dad to fork out for it ;)

And the second you find some person who doesnt know much about cars ... it can potentially be worth £12,000
 
Well i kind of need money and was thinking of spending another £1200 and build another 2 systems then sell erm on eBay for £750 each cause ive seen less spec'd PC's at about £500 on eBay so i could prolly easily get £600+ for it and could slap on Keyboard and Mouse and XP home for £75 ;) . Although ive been suspended from eBay since end of November grrr ¬_¬

Might be good idea to not mention that ;)

As for how much money you can fetch from ebay, i dunno... never sold boxes over ebay ... never a shortage of people locally for me so ive never bothered
 
Well i got suspended cause my friend who makes his own music gave me a copy of some of his songs and i thought they were pretty good so i copied it and sold it on ebay. And the buyer reported me to ebay for selling copied copyrighted music :\

It's better to not sell them on ebay because they normally go for the same price or not much higher anyway. Try your local paper.
