My girlfriend bought something like that but with 160 GB (I think...) and a 17 inches widescreen. It costed her $700. Oh ya, and it was an HP. She bought it on july of last year. I think you got... scammed... or my gf is really good at finding laptops at good prices.

I love big laptops.I just saw one go on Ebay tonight with similar specs for $300. Turions aren't worth a damn thing, and the V3000 is infamous for reliability problems, particularly the power plug that goes wonky.
They have a bad reputation, AMD sucks large in a laptop especially and that's what hits the resale value really hard unfortunately.

'bout tree fitty. Although, I just sold an HP laptop with a 1.6GHz TurionX2 for 500 USD. It had a 120GB HDD and a 15.4" screen, so better than yours in that light, but also a 300MHz slower processor.
Remember, you only have to sell it once, you aren't making a business out of it. Not everyone hates on AMD. I say 350-500 USD, depending on your patience.

Are you sure it had 2 gigs of ram? and keep in mind that was 7 months after i bought mine. Makes a big difference.
