How much is my PC worth?

If I were to sell it on craigslist or possibly to a friend who really wants it, what would be an appropriate price tag for it?
It is a customized Dell XPS 400 with:

550WATT PSU
BFG GTS 250 OC Edition 512mb
Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2 4GB (4 x 1GB) PC2-6400 LowLatency Quad Kit
320 gb hard drive 7200 rpm
Windows 7 64-bit
Pentium D 3.2 ghz

I would try to sell it locally for $350 and entertain offers. Just make sure you have a fresh install, show them it works well, run disk diagnostics in front of them to show the condition of the hard drive...And, if you're truly confident in the quality of the computer, try what I do. Offer a 30-day guarantee. Tell them if anything goes wrong, you will fix it, aside from abuse issues. If the hardware is sound, then what's the worst that could happen, you have to reformat it? :)
 
Its worth about 250 in parts. What you will get though is about 100 bucks or less. Its a machine and people will not pay alot for the machine. If I pay 250 for example for that machine. For 250 I can build a brand new machie equal or better. So your machine is allways worth alot less then market value. BTW 250 would be the value if you owned a store and sold inside a store.

Not entirely true. Plus there were at least three for similar value including shipping with smaller GFX card.

You could always sell a computer for more if you're a computer technician, or offer a small warranty. I would know.
 
If you sell the machine for 250 online the person who bought it must be one of two desperate or dumb. If someone took 5 mins to do any research on the machine, they would see its value and offer a much lower price. Put alot of dumb people in the world so you might have a chance.
