how much money should i waist for a gaming rig
i will be using it for movies songs itunes, mid gaming like crysis and assassins creed and surfing the web
just in case some one needs to know i am saving up money for
a new rig but i don't know exactly how much i need

Yeah, but you could get a good sort of system for $800 - if you were going to go that much, that would be fine and get an even better system

i would never spend more than $1000 for a system (minus monitor) because over $1000 you are pretty much buying parts that are going to be half-priced in 2 months and $1000 will make a rig that will play most things in the next 2 years at decent settings, after that you will be upgrading part-by-part which is much cheaper.....until you have to buy a new mobo, (thank you intel for sticking to LGA775 for so long)
