My stock Ram ended up being fried and I got some new Ram to replace it but Im not sure how much of an upgrade it actually is. The guy at my shop said it was quite a difference even though the actual size of the ram hasnt changed.

My stock ram was this:
2 x 4GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600U-9-10-B0
HMT351U6BFR8C-H9 NO AA_______1131
Company: Hynix
(I couldnt find much info about this RAM)

The ones sold to me were:
2 x 4GB DDR3-1333 (PC3 10600) UDIM
CT51264BA1339.M16FMO
This seems to be it: http://tinyurl.com/py46eyl
The price was cheaper than whats listed on this site though.

Is this ram much of an upgrade?

Really im fine with it being even a small upgrade, Im just curious as to if it really is an upgrade or essentially the equivalent to what I had.

The memory is pretty much the same, one consolation is the new crucial memory is a better brand than the old hynix.

well now I know. its alright I guess.
I needed to replace the fried ram with new ram anyways.
I want to get my computer back to operational asap and I'm a person with -50 patience.

Ill just buy some fancier ram later when I have more money. Im still worried about having to buy new processor right now.
