How much should i sell this Ps2 for?

Hi all,

Im thinking about selling my Ps2 as its just sitting there collecting dust.

I wont be selling it online so no offers here please.

Im into playing Pc games more now and probably wont be buying another Console again.

How much you people think its worth and how much i could sell it for?
Im gonna be selling it around christmas time because i think it will sell better.

The console works perfectly,However i had to replace the original joypad with a Madcats one because the original joypad stop working.

Just the system itself and controller, $70-$85
System and everything you listed $130-$150

A lot of this depends on the condition of everything.
 
Yeah sounds a good price.

The system is in perfect condition realy,Ive never had one problem with it other that the original control pad giving out.

I would sell the thing as a whole package,I wouldnt sell them seperatly.

Any other ideas people?

Obviusly im not gonna get a lot for it but its still in great condition.
 
I sold a PS2 with less games and 1 controller for $250 CAD a few months ago. I say you should start at $200 and work your way down.
 
brand new they are only getting $130 now. eb has used ones for like 80 or something, and many of those are like factory refurbished. and u get a warrantee or whatever it is they give you (you can pay like 10% of the price to get a 2 year warantee). so i wouldnt say more than 130-150 tops for it with all the games


im going thru the same thing, but its with an xbox and a psp. dont use either...actually i got the psp by trading in my old xbox games to eb and using the credit for the psp. but now i dont even use that lol. i use my computer. you can find games of all genres for the pc. many systems ur limited to only a selection of games so you have to have them all to get the best...u only need a pc now lol, cuz there affordable and are much better graphically then any console. lol. wish i never wasted all that money. theres no way to get even close to that much money back.

Probably just ask £100 for it and see what happens.

Obviusly people will knock me down on the price but at least to whever i sell it to will make use of it.

As i said its just sitting there collecting dust so....:D
 
Marzeth, I think that you could probably get $200 at least with all the extra hardware you have, I'd start at $250 though. Maybe add another $50 - $75 for the games.

I guess you're talking U$D, so that would be approx:
$280.00 CDN for the hardware
$360.00 CDN for hardware and games

At first, I kind of had this is mind. Given that it's used, I looked for prices all over Canadian retail stores (walk-in purchases only) of used software and hardware. Two things I did above them was that, obviously did not consider the taxes, but I also placed my prices with U$D tags in CDN funds. So whoever buysit saves on taxes and a little extra.

Anyway, this is what I ended up with:

Hardware: $200.00 CDN
Software: $300.00 CDN (from $4.00 to $35.00, breakdown below)
H+S-ware: $500.00 CDN

Is that too much?

some of the games seem a little expensive...but...ehhh. id sell them all as a bundle if u could cuz u dont want to end up trying to sell each one and then, idk just seems like a hassle.

500 seems like alot to me...even if it is in canadian...id just buy a new one at 130 usd and pick the games i wanted. or 80 for a completely refurbished one and then pick the games i wanted. just seems expensive to me. but who knows u might find a sucker who doesnt know
 
The prices for the console are standard prices at chain stores in the US like EBGames and Gamestop, etc... As for the games, I didn't see any that were really classics/excellently good games so that's why I wasn't going to put too much value on them...

*Edit* Now that I look at it again, I would up the value to probably $125 to $150 for the whole set.
 
like he said...electronics boutique/gamespot...best buy (for new ones)/toys R us (ditto). either way ur looking 130 USD for a NEW ps2 with a controller. I only know cuz i was looking to buy one but now ive realized that pcs are just way better, especially for the price of new consoles and games...by the looks of it my core 2 rig would kill a ps3, except ohhohh bluray lol. and i pay way less for video games. so i decided not to buy a ps2 and will not buy a ps3
