hello,

i want to know if this CPU

combined with this motherboard

will get good overclocking results, supposing you have a decent heatsink. I know the mobo is not good at all, for more it is mATX...

Any ideas?

3 threads down from yours, I don't know anything about those CPU's but you might want to look there.

you can probably get it to 3.4 maybe? im not too sure.
but i have no idea whether that mobo will actually let you overclock or not.. it might not.

look for a gigabyte P35, they are a nice board and overclock well.
the prices on that website for P35's are terrible though... can you buy off newegg as well?

the bad news about me is that i already have that board (didn't buy it myself, someone else bought it for me... ). i'll see if i can replace it soon.

i asked because i've heard that mATX boards do not OC. well, i've been doing some OCing to an old computer of my friend (just so to test), who had pentium 4 and an AsRock microATX board (which is worse than ECS) and i overclocked the P4 from 2GHz to 3GHz, didn't try to go further.
