Guys I wanted to know How often you open the case and clean your computer.
I dont know how it is in USA or UK but in india my PC gets Dusty in very quickly.
I have a haf 932 and all its vents are full of dust after a couple of hours in and out of the casing.

And I also need tips on how to clean a PC what type of part should be cleaned in what way and also should i disassemble and rebuild my pc often.
I need tips on maintaining the hardware everything from the CPU to monitor and mouse and speaker
Please help guys
 
Whenever I am doing work on it, as the doors are a complete bugger to shut on a NZXT Whisper case so I try avoiding it at all costs......
 
can you give me some tips on how to clean it and How much dusty do the PCs get there in UK/US
 
Compressed air and extremely damp cloths is what I use (cloth for inside casing only), and im sure the dust we get here, is the same type of dust you get? :s
 
nope india is way more dusty thn any other place.In dubai the dust accumulated in i week is equal to the dust accumulated in india in 1 day
 
I can't choose an option, but about every 6 to 8 weeks. My HTPC sits on the floor, I should probably spray it out monthly, but never do it every month.
 
I do it every time i have to open it for some work given that i am in a mood and have enough time
 
Usually everytime I open it up. I have a tiny bit of positive pressure going on in my case which keeps in relatively clean.
 
Not often. I see dust collecting on the GPU but not enough to make me open it up and clean it. I'm gonna strip it this summer and rebuild it while giving it a thorough cleaning.

how about yearly. i do not have any computers sitting on the floor. then i would blow out once a year just before winter sets in. does not clog much.

on the floor and next to a air vent - its a clogger. i would do say every 3mo minimum. stays decent on the table. i open and turn it on. check to see if fans are working and give a good blow job. next thing ya know im cleaning speakers, monitors etc.
its a done deal........again.
 
Mihir, have you tried getting filters for your case fans? That could help you a lot.

I run mine with the side off most of the time, and it's on a desk in a room with hardwood floors, so I really don't need to clean it very often.

what are filter never heard of them or seen them can you pls give link to one of them
and I also have hardwood floorng but my internet cable comes through a window so the window is partially open so that is where all the dust comes in from i guess

and what about taking you comouter apart and rebuilding it does everyone do that or not

Careful with filters, as they impede air flow. Had a client years ago burn out a processor because he put light filters on his intake fans. In the end it raised the temps of his computer and fried his processor, and also voided his warranty for doing something outside the standard configuration and modified fans in doing so.

I dont want anything as risky as this thats the reason i didnt go with liquid cooling afraid of its maintence
