How often does google update its cache??

I see that a lot of pages have the cache updated regularly, and i have this one page that i changed the homepage entirely and google hasnt crawled it for 2 weeks. When will it crawl?

I would say it depends how important your site is considered to be by google, i.e. if you have a high pagerank then it may crawl more often, or if you have submitted a site map (think thats what it is) to google then they may crawl more often, since it is easier for them to do so

there are lots of optimisation techniques to get goggle to cache you more often. There are whole sites and companies dedicated to it. The upshot is the more popular the site and the more you content is changing the more you get crawled. A standalone alone users site like yours could go months without being hit.
