How often you you "pith" your computer

Whenever I replace hardware, and things start to act up, or when in general things aren't working. This is usually around 8 months (did it yesterday; before that it was Feb).

Normally two to three times a year, however I've reformated eight or nine times in the last week.

As long as your machine is running fine then there is really no need.
Some of us, me included like to keep a 'clean' slate every once in awhile. Thats why I try to keep it on a 5 or so month cycle.
