How to access the router

I'm trying to set up my netgear router to my Wireless gateway, but I can not access tyhe netgear settings. Everytime I type in 192.168.1.1 , 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.0.1 I keep accessing the Verizon gateway and not the Netgear. What I want to do is use the netgear as the wireless router in a different room instead of the Gateway.
 
I went into the gateway and checked the ip distrubution, I tried every number between the start and finish and still nothing.
 
kind of confused at what your trying to do :confused:

but have you tried turning the other router of so u can access the netgear?
