how to back ntfs partition

Dear fellows

I have NTFS primary partition c. on which i installed the windows xp. i have norton ghost software versions 9 , 14 and 15. please tell me how to take backup of ntfs partition and restore using norton ghost or any other software efficiently.

Boot to Norton Ghost. Local > Partition > Image. Select the disk you want, then select the partition. Pick the location to save it (you will need another drive connected). Pick the compression level (I usually use Fast) and let it go.

Now, this is from memory, but seriously, Ghost is very simple among point-and-click imaging programs.

i have ghost installed on my system . but don't have its bootable disk. please tell me how to make its bootable disk.
