how to block websites.

any programs, or settings that will let you block a site? my friend at work asked me because she doesnt want her younger siblings going on myspace. any help is appreciated.

if you have active directoy and you only use internal DNS, you can add a zone to your dns server with an A record www.myspace.com (127.1.1.1). This will block it

Look in your firewalls's settings..theres usually a Restricted Sites area where you can put URLs of sites that you want blocked

on internet epxlorer you could ad the site to the blocked list at least. It will keep them from being able to sign in, that way they dont know they are being clocked and try to get around it. They will just think its the computer or its not working right now.

Edit your HOSTS file... Add the site url and loop it back to 127.0.0.1. That way the page will never be displayed.
