How to burn mpeg to DVD

Can someone tell me what’s a good program to burn a mpeg file to DVD so it plays in a DVD player? its something like mpg to vob?

Most will point right at Nero as the one to go with. Deep Burner is a freeware still being looked at here. Meanwhile many don't favor Roxio's Easy Media Creator. It tends to want to keep certain drivers loaded even when it is disabled in the startup group found in the msconfig utility. NEODVD has worked like a charm here for years.

As stated above, all you really need is any type of tool that will burn videos to dvd. There are many out there, Nero, WinDVD, Roxio, etc.. Which will fit into what you want is up to you.

You can go to www.download.com

Search for a free video to dvd program and choose one that best fits what you like. As for me, I have received WinDVD as part of my pc so has used it ever since.

it has to be nero 7 ultra or premium tho...i found out the hard way nero 6 does not have a dvd burning option or at least my copy didn't

B's Recorder GOLD 8.0 finally has dvd burning capability. I've been using the 5.0 for a few years now waiting for that while running Roxio for data dvds and Linux iso image burns. Fortunately the Neodvd software has been a great help with video files. I told you someone would point at Nero. It's a popular one.

Thanks
I have nero that came with my pioneer dvd burner but you need to convert it into .vob to burn and trying to find converters that will do it so nero will except the file is another story.
I’ll try windvd see how it goes.

I’m really sick of all this converting and codec stuff its like having loads of double adapters on a cable and then it turns out you need a male connection at the end as well

I have Deep Burner to try out "still" that was recommended by someone here. That's a freeware you can try out. Roxio's Easy Media Creator 8 was bought for burning Linux iso images onto bootable disks. That's why the high retail price was originally spent on that. But if you plan on gaming that can see some headaches when the "TDriver.exe" files keeps loading even with it disabled through the msconfig utility. !!! there alright!

Neodvd works great for processing and burning mpeg II files from video captures. If the files you want to burn are in the mpeg II format you have 3 settings available depending on the length of the file.
