How to check your pc's memory type??

hello,

i currently need to upgrade a few pc's at work and i was wondering if there was a way of being able to tell what type of memory is used in the pc's quickly without needing to open it. I usually run dxdiag but this only tells me the size i need to know what the exact spec is like dimm, simm etc.

Any help would be great
