How to copy a program?

I downloaded a program. It was only a limited version of it. I updated it to the full version. It is no longer available now. It's a program I use on a very regular basis and saves me TONS of time. I want to be able to back up this program so I don't lose it, and can install it on a different comp when I get one soon (my current comp has many issues and is on its way out). I can't just copy the install file over because it's not the full program.

Is there a way to get the full program copied onto a flash drive?
(It's the D&D Character Builder program for those who know it).
 
i think by the sounds of it tremmor, he has originally used a trial version then updated using a direct install into the program files, so he only has the original trial version as an exe.

surely if he has paid for the full version they should have gave him the full exe version, or maybe he is entitled when needed to reinstall to load the trial then update it to full again without paying anymore money.

The company is still around, but they no long offer an offline version of that program. It was something that required a supscription to get updates every month. However once your subscription ran out, the program still works, you just can't get the most recent updates to it. They have since switched to an online version that you can't access at all without a current subscription (which I let run out). I suppose it's worth contacting them about it.
 
yes i would contact them and say you paid for the full version and should been sent a saveable full exe. file and demand that they now send you what you have paid for
