My sisters computer needs the restores to be deleted to gain space, so is there a program that will delete restore points?
I tried window washer and the cleaner programs ppl on here have recomed, but no luck...
Anyone?
Cheers.

so, doing it the windows way, (by turning off system restore, then turning it back on), doesn't work for you?

Edit: you can also use Disk Cleanup, (Start/all progs/accesories/system tools), goto the more options tab, button is at the bottom.

I cant find how do to what you said.... turn restore off then back on again....

I know how to do it in xp, but my sisters computer is ME edition. Do you know how to do it in that os?

In ME, I believe it's something like this:
rightclick mycomputer
properties
performance, File system, troubleshooting
uncheck the system restore box

however, I'm not entirely sure that works the same on ME, give me a few minutes...

Nope iv tried that, there isnt a system restore box there. Just details on the specs and tabs go config graphics and folders.

Done it. Thanks.

I was doing a virus scan of my sisters comp, and it took ages going through all the 5yrs worth of restores.
You dont want to know how many viruses and spyware there was on it....
