Hello, I have problems with data loss and noticed that is realy easy to erase your music, movies and photos in Windows xp.
I would satisfied if somebody solved this problem could help me.

Cheers. . . (:

A great way you preserve valued data is you back it up to a separate storage device. Get an 8 gigabyte USB flash drive or an external hard drive to back up the data to.

I mean that what I wrote on topic. I want to prevent delete selected folder, or make a trick on selected folder to cause folder indelible.

Your best bet would be to make multiple copies of whatever files you have. As far as I know you cannot change the "Delete" option for a folder.

It might be possible to do through the registry editor, but unless you're comfortable with doing that I would just leave it alone and make another copy of your files...

A hard drive could fail any day. You will lose your data eventually if the data is not copied and stored on a separate storage device. It's only a matter of time. My advice is do not learn the lesson the hard way.

Who you try to prevent delete these folders? yourself or someone else? If is your self. You can set the files in these folders read only so windows will ask you to confirm before it deletes them.
If is for someone else who is not administrator, you can put these folder under your documents and make them private so they can't see them. but if is an administrator you can hide them and pray to God that he/she won't find them.
Cheers.
