I just got my bridge connector. I uninstalled the drivers for my 1st radeon 5770 and installed catalyst 10.9. Though i do not see any option for crossfire like i see on this post
http://forums.amd.com/game/messagevi...hreadid=128682

So what do i need to do to enable it?

I downloaded tech power up and it says:

ATI Crossfire - Disabled.

There isnt a crossfirex tab in my CCC.

Did you uninstall it then restart and then reinstall?

Or did you reinstall without restarting?

uninstalled and restarted.

I wonder if i have to do anything in the bios to get it to work

CCC will give you the option on install - uninstall it and download the latest version.
If your crossfire is wired up correctly it'll just ask you if you want to crossfire, say yes and you're in!

when the drivers were uninstalled, i rebooted and they then automaticly reinstalled. it required a reboot to take affect though, when I do reboot though it never loads windows.

it just stays at "loading windows" or goes to a 1 sec blue screen to restart.

Possibly in the bios? where it would have a setting to have only 1 pci slot working? and i need to set it to both?

though all i see is which display setting to use first:
pci
peg
peg2
peg3

yes im using the top two
pci express slot x16.

both video cards work on each slot while using just one. but when i throw both + bridge windows doesnt load and restarts right after a 1 sec blue screen.

it does load when both drivers are uninstalled, once im needed to reboot after installing to get them to work, thats when it doesnt work.

also, it does recognize both when the drivers are uninstalled
showing in device manager display (both 5770s)

tried driver sweeper, i thought it fixed it for a moment.

went to device manager and seen

Display:
Radeon 5770
VGA

went to update the vga to radeon.
when it started it just went blue screen > restart > windows not loading
again.

Here is an indepth step by step procedure to how im pursueing this....(both are xfx radeon 5770s)

- I uninstalled the driver for my v-card though windows device manager, display tab
- I restart my computer
- I go to amd.com to download the latest version of catalyst (10.9)
- I restart my computer so that the changes take place
- I shut down my computer
- I put the 2nd 5770 1gb into the 2nd pci slot
- I hook the pci cord into the side of the v-card (on both v-cards)
- I connect the HiS crossfire bridge to the top left slot of both video cards
- I turn on the computer
- I have changed the "Init display" setting in the advance bios to "Peg" or "PCI" ( i have tried both)
- Windows crashes with a blue screen/restart or my v-card fans go crazy loud
-only the top v-card is hot, the other is cool. (hot as in at least seems on)

what could i be doing wrong? ive been trying everything for abot 15 hours straight

should i put in the 2nd v-card with the computer on to see what happens?

seems stupid but im open to anything....
