How to Find SSD Storage Capacity of Laptop?

I have Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15iKB model with Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz Processor. I have a 2TB Hard Disk installed on my laptop. I want to replace it with SSD. Now I know that my laptop supports SSD but don't know the storage capacity limit. At lenovo forum there are divided opinion. Some say it should support upto same capacity as my HDD, while some are saying as less as 128GB or 256 GB. Is there a way for me to check that before making the purchase?

It should support whatever size drive it came with. A 2 tb Sata SSD is gonna be expensive around $170 USD

Thanks for the reply. I am actually going for 500 GB SSD, but since some said that it won't support anything above 128/256 GB, I just wanted to check. Thanks for clarifying.

Anything should work, SATA doesn't really give a crap about volume size. Older systems have legacy MBR limitations at 2 TB, but yours is new enough to support booting from GPT.

500G SATA drives are generally affordable, 1TB is around the current sweet spot since you can snag deals at sub $100 levels.
