This is what is happening to our computer:
#1. Our homepage keeps changing to this one that I *think* is a tracker and tracks where you go on the internet because when you double-click on IE, for just a second it says at the top of the blue bar "WebTracer" and then it changes to the homepage. The homepage has links to *NOT GOOD* stuff like porn, online dating, gambling, and there's a bar at the bottom of the page that says in caps "YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE!" (I'm thinking, "no, duh") "CLICK HERE TO GET RID OF IT!" and I wasn't stupid enough to actually click.
#2. There are loads of porn links being added into our favorites. I delete them but they come back.
#3. Our "page-lost" page never appears anymore, just this page with a URL like uutruh-globe.something/goaway.html. That's weird. goaway.html?
WHAT I'VE DONE TO GET RID OF IT:
#1. I tried to change the homepage back to comcast.net, but every time I did, it wouldn't do a thing. So I clicked on this little AIM icon at the bottom of the screen, and it brought up an AIM express page and THEN I went back to comcast.net changed the homepage. It works for a few days, and then it changes back.
I also tried to block the homepage but it didn't work. I ended up blocking the NEW "page-lost goaway.html" page, so whenever we come to a lost page, nothing on the screen loads.
#2. I delete the porn links but they come back.
