In my office, five persons share a computer. They create their files on desktop at will, making the desktop a mess. How to set the computer to forbiding them from doing so?
right click folder>Properties>Permissions (or something like that)>Chose the users you don't want to Read/Write/View and move the checkbox. You have more *POWER* with admin privliges . Be careful, you might get some people mad at you
NOTE: This is for a Windows XP with an NTFS partition/Hard Drive
NOTE: You can find the desktop folder in: WIN. XP; C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Desktop. EVERY OTHER WINDOWS; C:\Windows\Desktop
But, not that this will help much, this isn't for older Windows systems
NOTE: I'm running Knoppix (Linux) right now. Don't get mad if this errors
Good luck!
