How to get mic jack to act as Headphone jack

My headphone jack worked loose.Have to set my big pocket knife on my speaker jack to get sound.Its a realtek,dont know specific chipset.But its on my acer.
Is their any way to do this?Idc about mic,laptop has one built in already

mic jack is an input while headphone is an output the only possible way I can think of is open the laptop and rewire it unless if theres an aadapter out there somewhere you're out of luck it seems

you can get a external soundcard that plugs into the usb port

Install the latest drivers for the card. Some sound cards do allow you to assign functions to the jack. Many newer Realtek cards (at least on desktops) can. If not, as others said, there are some quite inexpensive USB sound cards out there.
