How to get my contact page working

Hello!

I'm new to this forum and a complete novice. Excuse me for my ignorance =D

I have finally created and uploades my website using Dreamweaver but there is just one critical problem. I would like to know how I can get my contact page working. It's important for me because I want people to be able to contact me using the contact page on my website.

and uhmm any side info i'm a 19 year old girl from Italy.

I would be very grateful if someone can help me or give a an EASY step by step guide how to make this work O_0

That's right. I would like to know how to receive e-mails into my inbox...

Not sure if you get to see the same but as soon as you press the submit button and send your message it just returns to the same page instead of a "thanks for your message" page
