Hi,

I was wondering how do people get their sites to show up on google?

Heres an example of what i mean.

As you can see ive typed "Computer forums" and this place has shown 3rd in the list.

Do you have to pay for it to be added?

Thanks

Go to google.com and at the bottom click about google. Then click submitting your site and submit it. It might not appear but try using google sitemaps and it will stand more chance. I have this program called IBP (Internet Business Promoter) which lists any url i enter in over 200 different search engines. It normally costs a lot but I got it free in a magazine. There might be some free programs that do the same that you might want to try out. Also submit your site to directories because search engine crawlers/spiders often crawl directories for lists of websites.

no...
you only have to add your website with a small description...
there is add website in some part of google and all the other search engine...

Hmm,

I see,Im gonna try and find if theres anything similar to that Internet Business Promoter you were talking about calumn.
thanks guys

There are lots of different programs listed there. I have never tried any of them myself but they all look quite good. If you really want to get your site listed and have the time then you could try installing a few of them and get your website listed. You can try the trial ones because once its listed you wont need the program anymore. http://www.download.com/Dynamic-Submission/3000-2650_4-10406487.html?tag=lst-4-1
Looks the best one to me, and it has a good score and highest downloads.
