How to insert a memory card into my new HP 4440s?

So I got this new HP laptop yesterday, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to put a memory card into the memory card slot. It's blocked!

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but did you try pressing on the piece blocking the slot? I was thinking that maybe it is just a cover to keep dust out, and pops out just like an SD card. But I'm probably wrong.

Are you sure your laptop has a memory card slot? It's possible that the opening is there but that option wasn't included in the configuration.

Try pushing it in. It's probably got a dummy card protecting the slot. Push it in and it should pop out.

You said too many words and made it sound complicated. You need to use short pieces of information. Those who aren't as computer savvy as the rest of us get easily confused and panicky.
