How to keep my computer clean when browsing.

I would like to ensure that all traces of my browsing are destroyed, along with any cookies, or anything else that websites may leave behind.

I am using Google Chrome, and have the ClickClean extension installed. Does this delete everything?

you can do it manually if you don't trust the software installed.. go to your history pages and delete them all by yourself.. with that your sure all the history browsed pages and cookies are clean..

Not so much the history, more of the cookies, tracking, crap ware, etc.
I've so far resisted the urge to sign up to Facebook, but just did recently, and their crap site won't work with Javascript blocked, so I just worry about the crapware that could potentially be installed..

Ugh, facebook is a necessary evil. I put nothing in there except my name and a picture. everything else your friends should already know tbh.

AdBlockPlus is useful for blocking most ads, especially the nasty hijacking ones. When you install it, just use the EasyList filter and it will block most ads already, and when you see one, right click on it and block image :)
