How To Keep My Computer Safe?

Well I got Spyware poping up on my computer constantly but I fixed that problem with Anti-Spyware. But what I want to no is how I can prevent these things? Like give me a list of all the security programs I need to keep my computer and internet safe!:D

Check out the website in my signature. There is a list of must-have security softwares. At least it will get you started.

So why the comment about vista in your sig? Thats against forum rules!! Change it now before you are reported!!
 
The sexual remark! Plus hes dissing an OS he prob has no experience with at all! He's prob just following what he has heard from other people.

Yes My dad has a vista and I do Have experience I no that vista has so much security that It pops UP EVERY SECOND! But that is just my dads but Vista Is slow has to many problems with it Trust me I played alot of stuff on it and downloaded it got's alot of memory and ram but it's not better than my windows Xp only at memory video card and ram that's it I don't get problems with my system! My signature does not affende nothing im just clearly saying I dont like vista and I say windows is better no matter what That is what I think who cares man! I'm just Saying I DONT LIKE VISTA!:D
 
^^ LOL So you have no experience!! Just b/c his pc is crap and he has viruses does not mean Vista is crap. You have to take care of your pc you cant expect it to take care of itself! Duh

Edit: Dont expect to get much help if you dont change your signature! News flash most people on this forum are using Vista and LOVE it.
 
everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

to keep your comp safe: don't get malwares in the first place. use a firewall and antivirus. also, be smart about what sites to visit and what programs to install. using firefox with a bunch of security addons also helps.
 
Omg!

I'm JUST SAYING I DONT LIKE VISTA Not hard to understand!!!! Fine if you guys are just going to complain about It Ill change It god!!!! And my dads computer is 1 month old when we firtst got it like 4 secs after we turned it on everything loaded fine. But it started slowing down after 2 minutes. It started acting like it shouldent. So we got it fixed and it works fine now but it keeps crashing now and then. Okay that's all I'm saying.:frustrated:
