How to know if Q6600 is G0 or B3?

Yeah, exactly. IS there a way to know before I order it?

I already said it in the previous post. The GO CPUs have an S-SPEC of SLACR. The B3 is SL9UM. This information can be found on the product sticker of the retail packaging. You may have to call the vendor you are ordering from and have them check the sticker. I would imagine that most all q6600's you buy today are GO.

That wont do much good when ordering the CPU.
Ah, I thought he meant after he ordered the CPU. Most websites use generic pictures, even on Newegg when they show the OEM Q6600 as saying SLACR, some people claim to have received the B3's.

That would be a bummer. Did they get to return them for the GO model?

I guess you could return it saying that the product listing was incorrect.

Chances are though that you will get a G0, as they've been out for a while.

Pretty sure ClubIT guarantees the G0 if thats how they have it listed. And its 10 bucks cheaper than Newegg.
