How to know which is my dvd burner driver?

I have a bootable floppy disk to run ghost and burn my HD image on cd's.

I copied that floppy on a usb drive to use ghost on my notebook, but I can't see my dvd drive.

I thought that I haven't the right driver for my notebook dvd drive. On my notebook, the driver seems to be cdrom.sys, so I configured my usb drive to use it but it still doesn't work...

How to know which driver to use?

Note:
There's even no cd driver on my floppy drive and no mention to it into my config.sys:
DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS
BREAK = ON
FILES = 30
BUFFERS = 5
DOS=HIGH
lastdrive = z

So why am I able to use my cd drive with my floppy disk???

Thanks!
Have a nice day :)

Or you coul try something diferent..
Copy all the content of the ghost image of the DVDs to another partition than Windows,
and try to see if it goes like that..

A fwe years ago i used to use Ghost for my images of windows..
These days i found out something better that that..
For exemple if i whant to create an image of my Windows Computador named A
what i do is take the hdd out and atached to computor B and use a program
to create images of the entire disk or Partition and put it in an DVD or in another Disk conected by USB or inside.
and use the program to clone the partition or entire disk and when i need it, just run the program again and
restore the partition ot disk from image.
The program that i use and recommend is Active disk image:

http://www.disk-image.net/

you can try itand if you like it, just buy it (cheap only 39 bucks) for personal use

I went into the bios and changed my "IDE configuration mode/SATA operation mode" to "Compatible" instead or "Enhanced".

And that worked! Thanks lot! But one last question:

Can you explain the difference between these two configurations (compatible and enhanced)? What is Sata? What if I use "Compatible"?

Thanks a lot again! :D:good:
I have been working and searching since 2 days for that! I'm so happy!

Ok,
Compatible mode, says to your BIOS to operate with your PATA and SATA
Drives and HDD to run in "normal"mode
The enhanced mode usually is used to create RAIDs.
The meaning of SATA is an DVDdrive,CD Drive or an HDD Disk
that is conected by a small conector (usually red) for transfer data betueen
you board and your HDD and name of it s Serial ATA.
The PATA Drive or HDD Disk is the old IDE flat cables that you see inside of
computer with a lot of wires (40 or 80 wires) depending in the drive it self.
The real name of PATA is Paralel ATA.
