how to make pc silent ?

hi,

just bought my first ever pc mainly for music software. But I'd like to get

rid of fan noise. Is it just a matter of switching the fans or is there a better

way ?

You can buy something called a fan controler, which can turn off or change the speed of your fans. you can get them for under 50$. heres a pic of one.

Make sure your pc dosen't overheat though.

yeah, haa, i forgot to mention that , haha. turning off your fans can be overly dangerous, try investing in a sound proof case, there not cheap but they do the job

depends on ur mobo, u can use software - speedfan to change the speed if the mobos quite new.

or, use volt mod, variable resistor it, etc..

Q: What software can you get for that? would it tell you the temp to?

are there any cons to that sound proofing stuff? my comp only has 2 fans, i plan to get another 2, mabye then ill take it into consideration
