how to overclock?

Hi,

I am basically a newb. i was wondering if someone can give me a guide to overclocking, and how hot can the pc be and still run fine. Also, how to i check temp.

the hottest any processor should ever be allowed to get is 70C, but most of us here never like ours to go above ~60C. a program called speedfan will allow you to check on your temperatures.
