how to password protect a folder

Get a program called winrar! It works the best. Can encrypt file names too.

winrar also packs them.... meaning you can't simply open them in windows explorer. You'll have to unpack them first. Try folder lock, it locks a folder with a password, can encrypt the containing files and hides the folder if you like to.

You can only open it from that computer using the folder lock software.

When setting the password in Winrar it lets you select whether or not to encrypt the file names.
