how to remove the first page number?

Maybe someone knows how to do this? I'm writing something using Word 2007, and wanted to number the pages. So, I selected Insert, and Page numbers. Every page is numbered. But I don't want my first page (the title page) to have number 1 on it. I want numbering to start on page 2, as page 2. So, how is this done? How do I remove the number from page 1?

When you first set up the page numbers, the headers and footers tool is active. In the Options section, tick the box that says "Different first page". Then just close the tool.

I wish i new the answers for the hardware like others.

When someone doesn't know how to do something, then it seems reasonable to ask others. Sometimes the directions are not clear, or can be difficult to find. Sorry if you thought this to be a stupid question.

ask them all the time. I can't find them or don't know them either. its ok.

So - where is Options section? I've been searching the Word document, but
cannot find Options. Where to find it?
 
Once you select the numbering you want it will appear.

He says he cant find options. I do not use the program now but guessing its in the top for options. Dont remember.
 
along the top of the Word document, there are:
Home Insert Page Layout References Mailings Review View,
so where is Options located?

Thanks. I was then able to remove the number from the first page, and the key seemed to be to first insert the page numbers. And when I clicked on Page Format it provided more menu, including the one with Options.
